The story
Chad Stallings is a loan officer with Fairway Home Mortgage in Phoenix with 25 years in the mortgage business — which matters more than it sounds when the house is a new build in Queen Creek with a builder-lender incentive, the HOA has a CFD on the tax bill, and the offer deadline is Sunday at five.
Chad has been in the mortgage business since the start of the 2000s — as a mortgage banker, a branch manager and a mortgage center director — and joined Fairway Home Mortgage in 2022. The one constant, in his words, has been the satisfaction of walking people through the process. He works with the people the mortgage industry tends to wave off: first-time buyers, single buyers relying on one income, and anyone who has been told to "come back when you've saved more." Those buyers are not harder. They just need someone who will explain it like a friend would, check that they actually got it, and move fast when it counts.
Chad runs every file on three rules. Plain English — confusing jargon is a service failure. Honesty over deals — if waiting, or keeping the loan you have, is the better move, you'll hear it. And speed as respect — quick answers, fast pre-approvals when the documents allow, and updates before you have to ask.
Behind him is Fairway Home Mortgage's Phoenix branch in Ahwatukee, with the processing, underwriting and closing team that keeps a file moving while Chad is on the phone with your listing agent.
How Chad works
Every term, every trade-off, every number explained the way you would explain it to your best friend — then a check that you actually got it. Confusing jargon is a service failure, not a sign of expertise.
If waiting is the better move, Chad says so. If your current loan beats a refinance, he tells you to keep it. Long-term trust beats a short-term commission — every time.
Quick answers, fast pre-approvals when the documents allow, and proactive updates at every milestone — because waiting on a lender is its own kind of stress.

When you text Chad, you get Chad. What you don't see is the branch behind him — processors, underwriters and closers behind the same Phoenix office, all working the same file. That is why a question asked on a Sunday night gets a real answer, and why closing dates hold.
Fairway Home Mortgage is a dba of Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, an independent mortgage lender headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, with every major loan program — conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, jumbo, renovation, HOME+PLUS and Housing New Mexico programs — under one roof.
